A display of newly discovered amateur footage shown alongside historical objects, paints an extraordinary picture of a city at war. Witness the war through the eyes of ordinary people who filmed scenes of domestic life, warships, the bombed harbours, and Liberation in Hoogvliet.

Opening hours


From the 1th of July we apply the following rules:

There must be 1,5 meters between visitors and staff at all times

A maximum of 60 people may be in the museum at the same time

It is only possible to pay with pin or credit card

Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10 am till 5 pm
Sundays and holidays, 11 am till 5 pm

Open on Mondays during school holidays from 10 am till 5 pm
Outside school holidays the museum is closed on Mondays (schools can visit by appointment)
